Fatales Release Two New Singles in 2025

The mythology of the west is rich and robust.  Kaelin Kost and David Pattillo united in the acknowledgement of the darker side of the west in the forming of Fatales. The NYC based duo create a cinematic landscape like a future acid western soundtrack. They call it “epic western.” Mystery, darkness and the surreal ooze from the museworthy Kost whose roots stretch back to the Chilean Mapuche tribe. Fatales are honoring that spirit through the power of dreamscape rock and the female voice.

Strange Majik releases NEWYORKCITY – May 2, 2025

NEWYORKCITY” is Strange Majik’s new raw, unfiltered soul bite of the Big Apple. Fueled by a Ginsberg reference, Brooklyn slumming, a grungy guitar riff, Geoff Burke’s west side sax, and swagger-drenched vocals, this track channels the city’s existential chaos and concrete cool. With echoes of Lenny Kravitz, The Black Keys, and LCD Soundsystem, “NEWYORKCITY” blends vintage rock ‘n’ roll attitude with a new twist. It’s a street anthem for the grunge loving Gen Z, the bold, and the beautifully weird.

Strange Majik releases “Stranger” Jan 17, 2025

Inspired by soul music of the 70s and 80s David Pattillo aka Strange Majik releases the brand new single “Stranger.” The summer and fall of 2024 brought a renewed fascination of F. Scott Fitzgerald with his iconic prose and worldly sense of class. “I re-read Gatsby and devoured his remaining catalogue. Strangers is a paean to both.” This track features the jazz touches of Geoff Burke on saxophone and swooning Chopin-esque flourishes of Sean Spada on piano.

Strange Majik drops a banger with “Queen Of The Night”

Following up the “NYC Animal” album, Strange Majik re-emerges with the bold “Queen Of The Night,” a rock nod to the iconic Giorgio Moroder whose sexy dance floor bangers propelled Blondie, David Bowie and Donna Summer Into the 80s. Backed by his Fripp inspired infinite sustaining guitar lines, Geoff Burke on sax, and up and coming Brooklyn soul artist Bako on background vocals this is a hybrid rock juggernaut.

With a catalog of 7 albums and multiple singles this is Majik’s 73rd release. From the deep soul grooves of his 2015 “Lights On,” to the glammy garage rock of 20/20, to the 2024 punk infused NY rock influences, Strange Majik is an artist who continues to defy the norm. We invite you to play and thank you for being a part of the team!

“’NYC Animal’ is a collection of ‘unadulterated sonic brilliance’, which can be defined in many ways — ways which always lead back to the artist exemplifying his elemental brand of iconic New York Rock, Disco, Psych and Soul.”

Tone Scott – Goldmine Magazine

“His latest LP is a paean to his adopted home city, homing in on the pre-gentrification danger encapsulated by Lou, Iggy, and sticky floor dives such as CBGB’s. With a touch of Y2K indie sleaze and some nightclub grooves Pattillo has crafted a sound drenched in nocturnal, hedonistic vibes.”Duncan Fletcher – Shindig Magazine
